It's curious how clowns are viewed these days, especially as relates to graffiti and gangs; one of my students yesterday was downloading and saving a bunch of them from the internet, into a Microsoft Word document, until he caught me looking over his shoulder. (anything gang-related is a definite "no-no" on high school campuses -- especially in an urban school like the one I'm working at).

    It's gotten so bad that a lot of folks are actually afraid of anything clown related

  4. Really? I don't think of clowns as anything more than a medium for humor, but I guess gangs are drawn to the creepiness factor. Trouble is, some of the Barnum clowns from the 1930s and 40s are a thousand times scarier than any clown logos I see today.
