A Peaceful Evening At The Avocados

I was working on this one when the Illustration Friday website announced this weeks word, which was 'SOAKED", so I thought great; since she's submerged in a tub of water in order to grow her 'hair', which can take quite awhile for an avocado, I imagine she will be soaked enough to justify that word. So good, I kill two birds with one stone. Now, if I can just figure out why she's not affected by the toothpicks and he is then all will be well in my cartoon world. I wonder, is a woman more willing to endure painful processes in order to be more beautiful? Does that make sense?

  2. Hahaha I didn't know about the growing avocado's hair by soaking them too. Have to try it one day.

I do have to ask questions on what's really happening in this image. The image is funny though XD More please! :D

  5. Yeah, I figured this one was WAY out in left field so it needed a bit of explaining. The situation is absurd, but if toothpicks were actually sticking out in your living room how many times do you think you'd run into them on your trips to the kitchen for snacks? There's just not enough clearance for Mr. Avocado. As easy as stubbing your toe.

Sorry this one needs so much explaining. Shall we just call it a humorous illustration?

  6. Cool. I learn something new everyday...and yes, it makes perfect sense in the real world too as I'm sure any woman who waxes will probably attest

  10. HA! Good one. I like the baby pic in the background. Growing up with two avocado trees in the backyard, we soaked seeds all the time! And personally, I believe women have a higher tolerance for pain. Childbirth and the man-cold come to mind.... :)
