  5. By the time the message reaches Kitty, it'll be: "It's on tonight on Downton Abbey. Violet goes running down the hall in her swimsuit, lets her freak fly free. Tune into the channel." Sigh. 214 will be disappointed twice.

    The unibrows crack me up!

    1. That is so funny, Bella. I remember when I was a kid in class the teacher wrote a sentence on paper and sent it around the room which everyone had to re-write before giving it to the next person. When the last kid read it, it was a completely cryptic message.

    2. This cartoon actually made me feel kinda sad (I was about to write a free-the-kitty petition) until I read Bella's comment!

Given the tenor of last season, I think it might be an improvement if the writer's room for Downton Abbey conversed in whispers!

  7. Hmmm, poor kitty or MAYBE poor ducks? At first I thought it was a sad situation, but now me thinks maybe Kitty's an undercover agent and will soon find out the plans of the infamous L'Orange prison gang.

    1. At least the Orange Gang isn't 'yellow'.

  8. And duck number 618 turned to Kitty and said: Quack, quack-quack quack-quack-quack, quack.

  9. This would be like sharing prison with Hannibal Lecter for the ducks, I feel sorry for them and not the kitty!!

    1. Okay, so the ducks get their first vote. Kitty's still ahead though.

  10. Looks like the duck with his back turned has already gotten into it with #214...the cat is probably in the clink for murder...and if he wasn't when he went in, he probably committed it while there anyway - let him stay there!

    1. It's amazing the different reads this drawing has gotten. But I don't feel sorry for any of them:, they're ALL criminals.

  12. That's funny. I think the ol' feline is looking forward to the boys leavin'. He'll finally get some peace and quiet and no more cluckin', more food to. He, he....

  13. Haha! I suspect the cat is just biding his time. Surely other ducks have tried this flying out business! The cat also looks quite well fed... perhaps the guards let him have those that are shot trying to escape. Oh dear, that's a bit gruesome.

The ducks in their prison outfits (and two pairs of red feet) makes a really cool design!

  14. I'm sure they will bumble it anyway, that's why they have been there so long in the first place....
