Farewell.

So Im worried that, with all this smart phone technology numbing our brains, that people are getting dumber and dumber. If animals start getting smarter, then we just might end up with a Bunny Babysitter. Just thinkin' out loud.

  1. Keep thinking out loud Ted!! At least your thinking or did your smart phone think this one up for you? Don't worry...after 200 years in charge animals will get smart phoned out and we will be the intelligent ones again and take back the duties of baby sitter...and so on... in 200 years etc etc. It's when they start to hang us from hooks in butcher's shops that I'll start to worry. I marked this with a hilarious tick Mr.Ted as it deserved it.

    2. Oh my.. hang us from hooks in butcher shops? That's a grisly thought. I was just thinking we'd only be forced to fetch the paper and slippers, but you took it to a new level. Yikes!

  2. i have a smartphone with a dumb battery.

ps: sorry ive been so sensitive and not in a good mood, i think i'm at the lowest point or whatever. Maybe i should start some new tv series to marathon, it'd be fun. Anyway thank you for cheering me up you are always fun to chat with!

    1. Oh, that's a good one, Mita. I'm gonna blame that dang battery next time I have a brain freeze.

I haven't found a TV series that compares to Breaking Bad. They all seem so lame compard to it. Even Mad Men has gotten boring.

  3. ps2: :))) no need to punch in the face the person who judges me... "once you've accepted your flaws, no one can use them against you" so this is pretty much what i'm doing now. okay bye see you around.

  4. Planet of the Bunnies!!! That's pretty much what happened (sans the humans getting dumber) in the original Planet of the Apes series, so as long as we don't go out of our way to train our pets to be smarter, I think we'll be ok.

    1. I read the original book by Pierre Boulle, and it was much better than any of the movies, with a better twist at the end. Well, the first movie is excellent from the 60s, but I don't remember any bunnies in it.

  8. The cruelest part is that they seem to be locked up in there sans devices! Man cannot live by kibble alone-- even pets get toys in their kennels! Though maybe this will force them to smarten up so they can escape?

p.s. Am I safe from the animapocolypse, as the only living human with a dumb phone? I was thinking of "getting smart" finally, so I really need to know.

  9. My friend also thought it would have been better if they were staring at their smartphones, oblivious to their captivity. I think you're both right, but I was too lazy to revise it after it was posted. When I compile these gags for a book I will revise it.
BTW: You're not the only human with a dumb phone. I just have a flip-phone myself. I pull it out and use it when no one is looking. haha. I did purchase an Ipad recently but haven't used it much yet. I feel I spend too much time on my desktop computer and when I'm away from it I don't want to be staring at a little screen even more.

  14. PAH! Hehehehe, I almost did not see bunny. Why oh why do those ears look so sinister? They're just EARS, yet they say so much. Brilliant!

I just downgraded from a smartphone to a dumbphone. Ye gads, what do I do with all this extra time now. And what? I have to interact with people in person? It's frightening!

    1. Yeah, it's amazing all this has happened in just the last 15 years. It's ridiculous the pressure we're under to stay hip. It's worse than High School. I feel like a Neanderthal every time I have to answer my 'antique' flip-phone in public. Course, if I REALLY cared I would upgrade to something that would turn heads, but I'm finally at that age where I really don't care to be cool. I've reached my thoughtful, wooden years, I suppose.
