My first cartoon book is taking shape...

Thought you might like to see a little teaser for the cartoon book I've been working on. It's my little tribute to the C-players of costumed crime fighting.
I'm a little over half way done with this first book and having a ball. Hopefully you will enjoy it when it's all done. -Ted

    1. Rather disjointed statements there I afraid but its morning, I haven't had my coffee yet and my baby daughter is trying to climb up my legs :D.

    2. Thanks, Chibi. 'Moisture Man' seems to be a hit in the art world, but not in the Super Hero world. haha. He's just a big dud, one of many that I've been drawing up for this book.

    1. Thanks, Rod. You know, your Gerard character would make a perfect costumed C-player, I feel like drawing him up that way. If you don't draw him, I will. heh heh.

  4. That Moisture Man is my favorite one. Man, I can't imagine how hard life must for him. Heck, even opening a door could be annoying without gloves. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing how this develops, Ted.

    1. Haha. I can imagine him trying to turn a wet doorknob now. Too funny.

  5. I guess Moisture Man is rather limited in who he can rescue...and probably somewhat unpleasant to shake hands with...
    Very cool about the book!!!

    1. YOU'LL BE FIRST IN LINE?! THAT'S GREAT NEWS!
My book signing has just one stop, though. The Bus Station downtown. Kinda late at 11pm Sat. Nite, but they were nice enough to furnish a table and chair for me, so no complaining here. See you there.

  10. I just heard that the Canadians want to give you a trophy for Best Snowballer. But you have to keep it in the icebox.

    Hahahaha, you slay me.

  14. Hehe, brilliant :) Poor Moisture Man.. at least he's trying to help, unlike the clientele of Pie 'n' Donut!

    1. This book will be devoted to the super heroes who are either lazy slobs or have powers that are pretty much useless. Probably the reason we've never heard of them. Thanks, poppylocke.

  15. That's great, congratulations!
Those superheroes have been eating too many donuts!!

    1. Those hack super heroes find food more gratifying than crime-fighting, but that would suddenly change if a camera crew were anywhere near. Thanks, Ana.

  16. These are so great! I love the stories these cartoons tell . . . Well, I guess I'm stuck with some questions. I like to know history about my super heroes, no matter how brutal the truth is. Now, was Moisture Man a bed wetter? Is that how he was discovered? Does he wake up in a cold sweat or is it a dry sweat for him? Does he have athlete's foot with all that moisture? Sorry to ask but I must know.

    1. Well, I see I'm going to have to devote a few pages to 'Moisture Man'. Those are great ideas for gags, and I like the idea of telling a little history about some of these caped losers. Of course, that will delay the release of this book, but worth it I think. Thanks, Belf.

  21. You said it, sister. Breaking Bad is SO GOOD! There were people at work saying that it is actually better than the Sopranos was. I don't know, if anything they are both as good. How could I forget you? Never.

  22. Looking forward to the book and hoping I can buy an autographed copy. I too hope there will be a fly or two and maybe some clowns - I'm sure they could be pretty cool masked crusaders.....

  23. Love the "ineffective superhero" theme....the superhero whose "super-ness" is lacking. Reminds me of a pic I did years ago of Superman with a drinking problem. http://www.swankyjoe.blogspot.co.nz/2009/01/is-it-bird-is-it-plane-no-its-stuporman.html
Paunchy overfed heroes are just great.

  24. I agree, I love the super heroes that will never get a comic book named after them. Wow, Superman is drunk. He's SUPER drunk. ha.

  25. Great news, Ted.... and I love the uper hero in the fast food drive-in line. :)
