Go Away, Kitty!

With the new home surveillance equipment Harry had purchased it was now a lot safer to come and go as he pleased, but sometimes Kitty's incessant staring made it hard to watch TV.

  2. Kitty reminds me of my doberman dog...once we found a canary hurt so we took him home for a while and he used to stay next to the bird just staring and waiting...that surveillance equipment would have been helpful those days :)

    1. Welcome back, Ana. Isn't it great the way animals will forget their natural instincts and do that for another species?

  3. Of course. It must be very difficult to enjoy a baseball game on TV while a predator is waiting for you, just outside of your house.

    1. Harry has simple, but functional taste. Did you notice how I messed up and put the entry hole on the side wall, and not in the front like in the videos?

  5. Hahaha. Love it. I know our Budgie must feel that way now that we've added a puppy to the mix. Dog. Cat. Bird. We have the entire food chain. Great work. Good to see it again now that I've got a new blog reader.

    1. Hi Jenn, where 'ya been? I need to haunt your blog, too.
Does the blog reader help? Some people as well as myself can't leave comments on blogger using an IPAD.

  7. I saw this comic, laughed, then wandered off and did some things around the house (ever aware of being watched). I've returned to type this and have yet to stop chuckling. Thank you Ted!

  8. Feet up, watching the tube, love it. Now I know what the jays are up to when not screaming for peanuts in my backyard. What I'm wondering however: are those different images of HIS place, or is he keeping an eye on the neighbours... ?

  9. Those are live video images of his birdhouse. He has surveillance cameras set up to keep an eye out for predators around his house, like kitty. It's hard to show that in just one drawing, I guess

The mockingbirds have driven all the jays out from my neighborhood, but it's funny because the mockingbirds still give out that annoying bluejay scream.

  10. Well Ted I think sometimes its better not to know that Kitty is outside staring...it would be easier for Harry to relax..Nice cartoon...I like the fact that it only gradually revealed itself in its entirety after my eye wandered from one object to another.

    1. Maybe it would reveal itself quicker if you used BOTH eyes.
      Oh, I kid.
      Thanks, MacGregor man.

  11. Looks like a paw could fit neatly into Harry's front-door-hole. Maybe next we can see, "Go Away, Kitty!- the Sequel." ;)

    1. Do you really want to see that, Liz?? It could get nasty. Harry better move his chair away from the door.

  12. Hey Ted! These last few weeks for me have been overwhelming again as I'm having to move (again...long story), so I haven't really had time for the blogosphere. But the upside to that is the same as recording your favorite shows and then watching them later. You can enjoy more at once! So visiting your page was like that for me since I got to see a bunch of great gags all at once instead.

    1. Moving again? You're making me tired just thinking about it. But stop by for a laugh anytime, Mauricio.
