KONG!

Here's my painting for the King Kong Group Art Show at Creature Features in Burbank this weekend. This Saturday nite is the opening. It's clumsily rendered in my trusty acrylics with a dash of Dr Martin's Dyes to punch up the saturation a bit. Deliciously old skool! Sorry about the watermarks; there's been some unscrupulous activity out there.

  1. yes, I know, this is no blue bottle....... :( but well executed.

i remember when I was a kid and I had opportunity to watch the movie , I walked away after 15 minutes.... I never since watched it again....so now you know I have no relation with him...Artichokistan inhabitants are very strange folk ;)

  2. What is the King Kong Group Art Show? Sounds like fun. Is it a one-time event?

  3. Oh sorry. Yeah, one time event but should be on display for awhile after the opening. Opening reception will take place on Saturday, March 4th, from 6 PM to 9 PM. Creature Features is located at 2904 W Magnolia Blvd in beautiful downtown Burbank.
